This piece represents the love between me and Swen from another time. Each thing expresses something representitive of ourselves for exemple; The dress i was wearing is tradidional bulgarian clothing for women, which shows my my bulgarian heritage, the dress that Swen was wearing is a mixture traditional male and female clothes from Obwalden, which represents their non-binary identity in a obwaldner manner. The babygoat that i was holding is a symbolism of my mom, because she is a Capricorn sun, which means despite the fact that she hurt me in the last years of my life in Turkey, she was always there for me more than my biological father. The lamb that Swen was holding is a representative of their father, because their father was a carpenter who made wooden sculptures of holy figures and animals and Swen has a little sculpture of a sheep that was made from him. Their Father was an influencial figure for them. In conlusion, no matter what period it was, we will always be together in every different period of time. This painting belongs to the serie called “CMYK Chronicals”. Here is the process:
First, i start with an ébauche underpaint which literally means a sketch underpainting to map out my basic shapes and form.
And here’s the finished rendering of everything.
Then, i do a rendering in grisaille which is an grey scale painting. Grisaille is K(keycolour) in CMYK. But, i could only render out the figures at that day. So i left it like that for another day.
After the grisaille, i start to do fun part of painting which is glazing. In this painting, strated with some Yellow from CMYK.
Then, i followed it up with Magenta from CMYK.
Finally, i finished it of with some Cyan from CMYK with a little bit of touch ups. I did the highlights of the grass with some phisycally mixed pastel green to tone down the green of the grass added a white glaze on the clouds for athmospheric contrast.
