I took this reference picture when i was in the bus and i was mesmerized by how the clouds covering Le Suchet and i wanted to include it in this serie immediatly. I always feel inspired by the nature. This painting belongs to the serie called “CMYK Chronicals”. Here is the process:
First, i start with an ébauche underpaint which literally means a sketch underpainting to map out my basic shapes and form.
Then, i followed it up with Magenta from CMYK.
Then, i do a rendering in grisaille which is an grey scale painting. Grisaille is K(keycolour) in CMYK.
Finally, i finished it of with some Yellow from CMYK with a little bit of touch ups.
After the grisaille, i start to do fun part of painting which is glazing. In this painting, strated with some Cyan from CMYK.
